Our Story

Josh says...

I first noticed Cait at a halloween party in 2010 (she was a "scientist superhero"?), but we didn't meet until a year later, when I moved into grad student housing- directly below her apartment. This was appreciated when my apartment ceiling started raining, and I went upstairs to investigate. Completely caught off guard when a stunning and inquisitive Cait answered the door, I nervously explained the leak and left. Luckily, we met again at the student retreat weeks later, which led to our first kiss... in a parking lot (sorry parents!)

Cait says...

I already knew Josh was brilliant (PubMed) and handsome (given), but on our first few dates he further won me over with his exceptional culinary skills and history of revelry (ask him about his college frat)

We'd been dating just a few months but I really liked him- so I invited him to join me and my friends on a weekend trip to Cape Cod. He was the perfect addition, and the trip and the lobsters became an annual tradition!

Josh surprised Cait with a proposal on New Year's Eve 2015 in Indiana, and we stayed up all night celebrating with her family.

After 5+ years in New York, we moved to Boston in 2016. Josh is completing his postdoctoral fellowship in virology, and Cait is working in strategy consulting for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.

We love cooking together with recipes (Cait) and without (Josh), sweating together in fitness classes, and trying to find halfway decent cocktail bars in Boston.
